The exam and your level

Is this written for the August 2026 exam?

Yes. The exam changed on 3 August 2026 — 122 questions in a four-hour sitting, three content areas instead of four, and questions with three or four answer options. Every lesson, practice question and mock exam here was written for that format. There is no older version of the course sitting underneath it.

That follows the licence you are applying for, and your state board decides it, not us. Broadly: BSW/LSW is the bachelors-level exam, LMSW is the masters-level exam, and LCSW is the clinical exam, taken after your supervised hours. Check your own board’s requirements before you choose, because the levels are not interchangeable and the content differs.

The standard wait between attempts is 90 days. On the $99 plan your access carries straight through that wait and into your next attempt — your question history, your scores and your study plan are all still there, and the plan rebuilds around your new date. On the monthly plan, access continues for as long as the plan is active. We do not offer a pass guarantee, and a result does not trigger a refund.

The course

Is this enough on its own?

It is built to be. The course covers the full blueprint for your level, every competency has practice and an exam attached to it, and there are three timed mock exams in the current format. Whether it is enough for you depends on what you bring to it — if you have been away from this material for a few years, give yourself longer. Rather than take our word for it, take the free practice exam. The readout will show you how far you are from where you need to be.

That depends on your starting point and your exam date, which is why the plan is built backwards from the date you set rather than run to a fixed schedule. Someone revising three weeks out uses it very differently from someone starting from scratch with three months. We start you on a date about three months out when you sign up; change it to yours and the plan rebuilds around it.

Yes. We use automated systems, including AI, to help build and adapt study plans and to help draft explanations of answers. Your study data is not sold, and we do not currently send it to third-party AI providers. Automated systems can be confidently wrong, so where anything here conflicts with official ASWB material, treat theirs as correct and tell us at support@licensedtoserve.com. Plans, billing and access

What does “access until you pass” mean?

Your $99 buys access with no end date on it. There is no renewal, no subscription, and no point at which the course switches off because a period elapsed. If you do not pass first time, your access carries on through the 90-day wait and into your next attempt, with your history and study plan intact. To be plain about the limits: it is an access commitment, not a guarantee of a result.

Full refunds are available within 48 hours of purchase, provided you have completed less than 10% of the course. After that, all sales are final. Our Refund Policy explains what counts towards that 10% and how to request one. If you are unsure before paying, the free tier is a real test — a full-length exam, your complete readout, and both lessons of the strategy primer, at no cost.
