How it works

Most prep tells you what to study. Almost none tells you what to fix.

You can work through a whole course, answer a thousand questions, and still walk into the testing centre without knowing where you’re weak. Here’s what we do instead.

01

See where you actually stand

A free full-length practice exam in the current format. You get more than a score: a breakdown showing which content areas are carrying you and which are costing you.

  • 122 questions, current three-content-area format
  • Results by content area, not one number
  • Free, no card required

Get a plan built around your exam date

Tell us when you’re sitting the exam. We schedule what to study, in what order, and when to come back to things you’ve already covered.

  • Adjusts as your scores change
  • Brings back material before you’d forget it
  • Reschedules if your date moves
03

Learn it in whatever format fits

Every competency comes as video, audio and text. Use whichever suits the twenty minutes you actually have.

  • Watch, listen, or read — same content
  • Audio for the commute
04

Practice on real exam questions

After each lesson, we break down exam-style questions out loud — reasoning through them the same way each time, and explaining why each wrong answer was tempting, not just why the right one was right.

  • A repeatable way to take apart any question stem
  • Every distractor explained, not dismissed
  • Worked examples at competency and content area level
05

Know when you’re ready

Lesson exams, content area exams and three full mocks feed a single readiness score. What you get wrong comes back around until it sticks.

  • Three full-length mocks in the current format
  • Missed questions return automatically
  • A number that reflects all three, not just your last mock

Why it works

Three things beat re-reading, consistently

Decades of research say the same thing about what helps people retain and apply material under pressure. Three methods come out ahead, and the product is built around all three.

Retrieval practice

Recalling something from memory strengthens it far more than reading it again. It also tends to reduce exam anxiety rather than add to it.

In the product: lesson exams, content area exams, missed-questions review.

Spaced practice

Material returns at intervals instead of being crammed once. Spacing beats massing on almost every measure of long-term retention.

In the product: the exam-date study plan and its review schedule.

Targeted practice

Time spent on what you already know is time wasted. Practice weighted towards weak areas is where the gains are.

In the product: the weak-area readout and weakest-area practice.

None of this is proprietary. It’s the consensus of the learning research, applied to one exam.

Our content

Written and reviewed by licensed social workers

Every question is mapped to a specific competency in the current ASWB content outline, written with a full rationale, and reviewed by a licensed social worker before it reaches you.

Rationales explain the reasoning, not just the answer key — why the correct option is correct, and why each distractor was plausible enough to tempt you.

The content was built for the exam as it is now: 122 questions, three content areas, three or four answer options. Nothing here has been retrofitted from an older blueprint.

  • Mapped to the current content outline
  • Full rationale on every question
  • Clinical review before publication

Less to study, not more

Most programs are built to be comprehensive, which means covering everything at the same depth regardless of whether you already know it. That’s why prep feels endless.

Working from your actual results means the opposite. If you’re solid on Values and Ethics and shaky on Assessment and Planning, your plan reflects that within a day of starting. You spend your time where it changes your score.

Questions people ask at this point

Is this updated for the exam that changed in August 2026?

Yes. The exam moved to 122 questions, three content areas and a three- or four-option question format on 3 August 2026. Every lesson, question and mock exam here was written for that format from scratch. There is no older version of the course underneath it.

That depends on where you start and when you sit. The plan is built backwards from your exam date rather than run to a fixed length, so someone revising three weeks out and someone starting from scratch with three months get different schedules from the same course. You get a date about three months out at sign-up, so there is a plan to look at from day one. Change it to yours and see what each week looks like, before you pay anything.

Start with the free practice exam. The readout will show you which content areas cost you the marks, which is usually the thing a previous attempt never told you. From there the plan weights your time towards those areas rather than starting you at the beginning again. The anxiety toolkit is free at every tier and is built for exactly this position.

The course covers the full blueprint for your level, with practice and exams on every competency. Whether it is enough on its own depends on what you bring to it — if you have been away from the material for several years, give yourself longer rather than adding another program. Check your own board’s requirements too, since those sit outside anything we can cover.

Three things: how you perform on lesson exams, on content area exams, and on the full-length mocks. It weighs all three into one indicator so a single good mock doesn’t flatter you and a single bad one doesn’t sink you. It is a readiness indicator for your own planning. It is not a prediction of your result and it carries no weight with ASWB or your board.

On the $99 plan your access carries on through the standard 90-day wait and into your next attempt, with your question history and study plan intact. Full detail on Pricing.
