Who we are

Licensed to Serve is an online preparation platform for the ASWB social work licensing examinations, operated by [ENTITY NAME], a company registered in the United States at [REGISTERED ADDRESS].

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at support@licensedtoserve.com and we will explain it in plain terms.

What we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, password and the exam level you select when you create an account. If you buy a paid plan, our payment processor collects your payment details — we do not receive or store your full card number.

Information created as you study. Every answer you submit, whether it was correct, how long you spent, which lessons you have opened, your readiness score, and the exam date you set. This record is the product: weak-area practice, missed-question review and spaced review cannot work without it.

Information collected automatically. Your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, information about your health, your licensure history, or any details about clients you work with.

How we use your information

To give you access to the course, the exams and your account; to build and update your study plan and readiness score; to identify the content areas you are weakest in and schedule practice against them; to take payment and manage your plan; to send you service messages about your account; to keep the platform secure; and to understand which parts of the product work so we can improve them.

We use your study record to improve the question bank in aggregate — for example, to see which items are answered incorrectly most often. This is done across all users and is not identifiable to you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Use of AI

We use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to help build and adapt study plans and to help draft explanations of answers. What this means in practice is that your scores determine what the platform schedules for you next, and some explanatory text is machine-assisted rather than written from scratch each time.

Where your data goes. We do not currently send your personal information or your study record to third-party AI providers. If that changes, we will update this policy before it takes effect, and any provider we use will be contractually prohibited from training their models on your data.

Accuracy. Machine-assisted explanations can be wrong. Please read the accuracy disclaimer in our Terms of Use, which sets out the limits of what this content is and is not.

Decisions about you. Nothing on this platform makes a legal or similarly significant decision about you. Your readiness score is a study indicator. It is not a prediction of your exam result, and it has no bearing on your licensure.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the platform: hosting and infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, and product analytics. Each is bound by contract to use your information only to provide that service to us.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

If the business is sold or merged, account information may transfer to the new owner. We will tell you before that happens.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep your session active, and analytics cookies that tell us how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but the platform will not work properly without the necessary ones.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and study record for as long as your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that you can return without losing your progress. This matters on the $99 plan, where access continues across attempts.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Some records, such as payment and tax records, must be kept for longer where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or send you a copy in a portable format. Write to support@licensedtoserve.com and we will respond within the time the law allows.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that Act. To make a request, write to support@licensedtoserve.com.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access will never occur.

Age

This platform is for adults holding or working towards a social work qualification. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you by email or through the platform before it takes effect. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
